Ford India has revealed some details of its upcoming Ecosport.
It will have petrol and diesel engines (diesel engine details are yet to be revealed). The petrol is the 1 litre turbocharged version which delivers 120 PS and 170 NM of power equivalent to a 1.6 litre engine. It consumes 20% less fuel compared to a 1.6 litre engine and Fuel economy is 16 kmpl.
Car has 200 mm GC and 550 mm wading capability.
It is mated to a 5 speed manual. A 6 speed double clutch automatic option is also available.
Cooled glovebox, Slide out drawers under front seats; Keyless entry and start.
It has voice control, BT and USB connectivity.
Hill Launch Assist along with ABS, ESP and TC.
Rear seats split 60:40 and fold fully.
Though not specifically stated, it looks to be a 5 seater. If they price it correctly and with a decent diesel, it is going to be a killer.
